The logistics warehouse manager uploads "status of warehouse operation" and "plan of operation of forklift cars" to the warehouse operation system immediately after work. This information is sent to tablets installed in forklifts upon upload.
The forklift driver proceeds with the work based on this information, and the manager gives additional instructions while understanding the driver's work situation in real time.
A warning is sent to the forklift driver when another person comes near the forklift. It can greatly reduce the risk of accidents. A warehouse shutter with a separate reader will automatically open when a forklift approaches.
As the forklift passes through the entrance door, the reader installed in the shutter collects data on what kind of luggage the forklift carries and delivers it to the logistics warehouse manager. It supports managers' warehouse operations and helps them find optimal warehouse operations by making appropriate decisions.
This is the implementation of 'Smart Truck Management System' using data collection and processing system based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and IoT (Internet of Things) technology.
The system is expected to play a major role in the operation of accurate, efficient and safe logistics warehouses.
It is also a part of "Smart Logistics" drawn by Kim Hyun-tae, a startup with an office at Inha University's start-up child care center, and Seungwon Lee, 40, CEO of 4STEC (4STEC).
CEO Seungwon Lee said, "The main point of the vehicle management system is to help logistics warehouse managers efficiently manage warehouses by collecting basic data, analyzing, and delivering collected data."
"It will greatly help companies manage their warehouses and materials as well as streamline their work in various fields."
CEO Lee founded '4STEC' in October 2013. Based on 4S, which means Smart, Security, Service, and Screen, it is determined to become a company that gives trust and impressions.
Lee, who completed his Ph.D. program at Sungkyunkwan University, has worked for several companies dealing with RFID for more than 10 years. My work life wasn't very successful.
The company, which was relatively stable, lacked his will to "challenge," and in some cases, it went into court receivership and went out of business due to worsening management. With the company going out of business, I couldn't get a proper salary. I thought, "Let's start a business so that I can do what I want."
After completing a three- to four-month start-up academy at an Incheon-based start-up support organization, he was transferred RFID-related technology from a closing company where he attended and joined forces with a former co-worker. At the age of mid-30s, 10 million won borrowed from parents became a valuable business.
"We are gradually increasing the size of the company and working with 10 employees now," CEO Lee said. "So far, my salary has never been pushed back." "I think my experiences have become the foundation for today's 4STEC," he said.
The project to establish an integrated standard record management system in the district and county was the first project of 4STEC to use RFID, which was won by the Busan Metropolitan Government immediately after its start-up.
The National Pension Service RFID Commodity Management System, Seoul City Car. It has been continuing its growth by developing software related to RFID and supplying it to middleware of Samsung SDS RFID storage media management system.
4STEC recorded 340 million won in sales in 2014, the year after its foundation, and its sales increased to 540 million won in 2015 and 650 million won in 2016. It surpassed 1 billion won last year, and is expecting 2 billion won in sales this year.
In 2016, it received many awards from related organizations such as the government and received attention.
The Korea Software Industry Association won the 15th Korea SW Enterprise Competitiveness Excellence Award and the Ministerial Award given by the Presidential Youth Committee.
At the Korea Logistics Awards, he received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport award and was selected as the "ICT Prospect Company (K-Global 300)" by the Ministry of Science, ICT. This means that it has been certified as a company with high growth potential with excellent technology and business ideas.
Currently, 4STEC has registered 3 patents and is working hard to develop related technologies by applying for 10 patents.
CEO Lee plans to continuously supplement and develop records management systems, storage media management systems, commodity management systems, smart forklift management systems, and urban facility management systems using RFID and IoT technologies.
It will also make efforts to expand its business area by developing a "smart care system" for the health, living environment and welfare management of single elderly people.
The system is expected to help life managers who take care of the elderly more conveniently.
"Our company is a professional IT service company that focuses on developing and distributing RFID automatic recognition technology-based solutions. As a human-technology-oriented service company, we plan to expand our business scope in various fields such as solution building business, web service business, convergence business, information consulting, server and product sales." said CEO Lee.
"We will always strive to provide optimized solutions and services to customers and businesses in a rapidly changing IT environment, and we will also strive to develop technologies to establish differentiated areas of expertise."
"It is so rare that successful startups based on Incheon are selected," he said. "We will make more efforts to make 4STEC come to mind first when we think of successful startups in Incheon."
