The Ministry of SMEs and Startups held the 2018 Venture Startup Promotion Merit Award Ceremony at GS Tower in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul on the 11th.

The event, which marks its 21st anniversary this year, is a reward for venture and start-up promotion merit, which is the main driver of Korea's innovative growth.

This year, the Order of Merit was raised to the highest Gold Tower Industrial Medal, the first case since the 1997 award.

The total reward is 183 points, including three medals, one package, 18 commendations from the president, 17 from the prime minister, and 144 from the minister.

About 300 leading venture start-up ecosystems, including venture companies, start-ups and investors, gathered at the event.
