While smartization is being carried out throughout the industry thanks to the fourth industrial revolution, Smart Factory, which can strengthen manufacturing competitiveness, is drawing attention. In order to secure global manufacturing competitiveness, domestic manufacturing industries are also being smartened through integration with fourth industrial revolution technology.

Smart Factory uses advanced information and communication technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and big data to collect and analyze data necessary for manufacturing such as production and logistics in real time. It is characterized by being able to grasp all the situations in the factory at a glance and control themselves according to the purpose.

Recently, technologies to be introduced are also becoming more diverse, and "Smart Forklift Management System" using IoT Middleware introduced by 4STEC is drawing attention. Smart forklift management system is a principle of checking and transferring pallet or product information with RFID tags on forklifts, and it can check commodity data in real time by identifying work details and instructing work between control rooms and forklifts.

In addition, when forklifts approach the shutter, RFID tags can be read through motion sensors to automatically shut down and can prevent human accidents due to recognition of direction even if it is difficult to secure visibility when transferring products.

"As Smart Factory is emerging as a new growth engine for manufacturers, we are focusing on developing technologies that are needed to optimize logistics processes and boost productivity." said a representative for 4STEC. "The IoT-based Smart Forklift Management System will collect IoT-based sensor data, RFID data, and other data to bring efficient plant and logistics center management system."

4STEC’s forklift management system is planning to be used to optimize IoT sensor data operation in the future, which is being carried out through industry-academic cooperation with Incheon National University's Graduate School of Northeast Asian Logistics.

In addition to the smart forklift management system, 4STEC also provides major services such as records management system, storage media management system, commodity management system, inscription management system, NFC member management system, urban facility management system, and solitary elderly management system.
