On the upcoming Logistics Day (November 1), it was confirmed that a startup company was selected for the first time as a reward for the Korea Logistics Awards.
According to multiple officials, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Integrated Logistics Association, six startups were selected as recipients of the 24th Korea Logistics Awards. Reward companies are "Rosys Lab," "My Warehouse," "Mesh Korea," "4STEC," "Treadlings," and "Honey Biz." (In the order of ABC)
Each of the companies selected as the award recipients is providing cargo transportation fintech (Logis Lab), my warehouse for e-commerce, last mile logistics (Mesh Korea), forklift management system (4STEC), international logistics platform (Trends), and on demand concierge (Honey Biz).
In particular, the award-winning companies are attracting attention as they are providing services not only for logistics but also for heterogeneous industries such as O2O, IT platform, FinTech, and commerce. In response, logistics industry officials said, "The logistics industry that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport sees has begun to cover not only logistics but also distribution and IT industries."
Lim Jung-wook, head of the Startup Alliance Center, said, "Mobile app-based IT platform companies are starting a distribution revolution." "Indonesian startup Gozek has grown rapidly based on two-wheeled transportation services to become unicorn startups, and logistics start-ups are said to disband FedEx."
