The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning announced that it held the “IoT Global Public-Private Consultative Meeting” and the first “IoT Showcase” at Asem Tower at 2;00 pm on the 13th.
Choi Jae yu, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Future and Korea Internet Promotion Agency, and members of the council’s operation committee participated in the “IoT Global Public Private Government Consultative Meeting” to discuss systematic support for small and medium sized domestic IoT companies and ways to revitalize the IoT industry.
Previously, MSIP opened IoT Innovation Center in May last year and launched IoT Global Public Private Consultative Body in order to revitalize Korea’s IoT industry by establishing partnerships between leading domestic and foreign companies in IoT field.
Participants agreed that the meeting, which marks the first anniversary of the establishment of the consultative body, should create visible results and create a private self-sustaining ecosystem of the domestic IoT industry, especially through win-win cooperation between consultative companies and small and medium sized companies.
Participants, including the second vice minister of the Ministry of Future Affairs, also formed a consensus that it is necessary to establish a close cooperative system between the government and global consultative bodies and make bold investments in small and medium sized companies.
Choi Jae-yu, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Future Affairs, said, "We hope that small and medium sized IoT companies in Korea will be able to find a point of contact with global conglomerates through this global consultative group meeting and IoT showcase to open the growth plate of domestic IoT companies."
Meanwhile, the first 'IoT Showcase', which was held after the meeting, is a technology of promising IoT small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea for global consultative companies.It is an event that provides opportunities to introduce services to support the establishment of customized partnerships such as investment, business partnerships, and recruitment of human resources.
