The 4th World Electronics Brand Show, which will start a three day long journey at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province on the 7th, is an event that shows the present and future of the Korean home appliance industry. It is the biggest home appliance exhibition to be held this year.

This year's event will be attended by 150 companies, twice as many as 80 in 2012. Sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science, ICT, the Small and Medium Business Administration, the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and the Venture Business Association, it has expanded its size every year with the aim of creating a sustainable growth engine for the Korean IT and home appliances industries.
The total area is 16,11 square meters, nearly four times larger than the first year. About 30,000 visitors are expected to visit the exhibition hall this year. This is also four times more than the first episode.

The exhibition hall consists of various event spaces. R&D Performance Hall, Technology Transfer Hall, and Joint Hall of Outstanding Small and Medium Businesses, which were released by the National Institute of Responsible Research, will also provide an indispensable viewing distance. Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Robotics Industry Promotion Agency, and Korea Institute of Science and Technology and Information (KISTI) will showcase their achievements. The Incheon Information Industry Promotion Agency and the Seongnam Industrial Promotion Foundation will display a joint view of excellent small and medium sized companies.
"Lucky Box Event" and "Home appliance design competition" will also be held as side events. Fifty "lucky boxes" are sold every day for 77,000 won. It contains random household appliances with high preferences ranging from 60,000 won to up to 1 million won. Every day during the exhibition period, it creates issues with lucky box events and aims to attract visitors.
The Consumer Electronics Design Contest sponsored by the Korea Design Promotion Agency will display a number of excellent works selected after a recent public offering. There will also be an overseas consultation meeting hosted by IPR that invited buyers from the Hong Kong Trade Development Bureau. Consulting that can enter seven major countries will be provided and counseling opportunities and direct connection with buyers will be made.
"We are going to reveal the latest trends and major products in the IT and home appliances sectors," said the organizing committee of the World Electronics Brand Show. "The event will be an opportunity to properly diagnose the level of our IT electronics industry."
